What a disappointing match. I expect goals in this game but it ended stalement.Chances were few for both sides with Villa looking the likely side to score. However Liverpool stood their ground and earn a point.
The bad news was that Torres limped out early in the match with a hamstring injury. He could be out for the next 15 days. With Gerrard recovering from a groin operation, Liverpool lost their two main players for their next home game with Champion Man Utd. Fergie;s team must be absolutely delighted to face a Liverpool side still struggling to find their feet plus the loss of two match winners.
Having seen Liverpool played in the last 3 BPL games, the Reds are lucky to remain unbeaten so far and have 7 points from 3 matches.
Liverpool has plenty to do if they are to match the Big Three.
